This all-inclusive weekend retreat features indoor & outdoor yoga and meditation classes, guided forest walks to explore wild edible and healing plants, and delicious fresh & mindfully prepared plant-based meals while resting at the end of a fulfilling day in well-appointed cabins complete with all the luxuries.

Harmony PEC Retreat Centre is located on a spectacular private, 26-acre property in beautiful Prince Edward County, ON.

Enjoy the breathtaking vistas from up on the yoga deck, and dining room.  Walk down through the sloping forest trails, across a magnificent wetland to a secluded stone beachfront on Lake Ontario where you can swim, sunbathe or just stargaze at the night sky.

Harmony PEC Retreat is located in the tranquil setting in Waupoos on the shores of Lake Ontario set amongst forest and wetlands. A private retreat setting, ideal for an individual or small group to ground in nature and the elements, and to reconnect more deeply with themselves. Harmony is a truly magical place that exceeds the expectations of its guests. It offers refined, relaxed luxury with organic flax linen sheets, plant-based mattresses, organic cotton towels, shower floors are rocks from the shore, organic teas, beach towels, lavender pillow spray, two twin XL beds or one king bed, amenities curated from the land and essential oils, privacy netting around beds, and screened-in porch with rocking chairs.

Friday: Arrival day - Water Element

Check-in is between 2 pm - 3 pm on Friday, August 5, 2022.

  • Arrival circle - gathering and forest herb walk with Tamara as we walk to the shore where Carrie will guide us thru a meditation

  • Dinner with Chef Chris

  • Yin Yoga - Water Element with Carrie

 

Saturday - Earth & Fire Elements

  • Breakfast with Chef Chris

  • Free time

  • Earth/Fire Yoga Flow with Carrie

  • Lunch with Chef Chris

  • “Earth & fire, forest and field” wild plant

* Elements Immersion Experience (hot and cold work contrast sauna and lake, meditation, and breath work) can be added to Sunday's schedule at an additional cost after lunch that day

 

*Guests are invited to stay over on Sunday night for a little extra time in a peaceful retreat.   Accommodations are offered at 50% off for this extra night.

Food

​

Healthy & fresh meals | 2 dinners, 2  breakfasts, 2 lunches, 1 snack, wild and organic herbal tea, coffee & fresh water is included.

Chef Chris will be serving fresh, gourmet plant based meals, themed with the elements of the retreat. Guests are also welcome to bring their own non-refrigerated snacks or cooler with snacks.

Tamara Segal

​

Tamara works with plants as medicine to help facilitate healing on a holistic

level, in line with nature.  She finds that nature’s medicine in its simplicity carries

a deep wisdom that can facilitate profound healing on many levels.  

She prepares medicines from wild plants which she harvests from the land

where she lives, in Prince Edward County ON. She runs a private practice,

creating custom herbal blends, and offering nutritional support as well as

suggesting other natural approaches to help restore and maintain vibrant health. 

Tamara also offers guided wild edible & medicinal plant tours throughout her

region, sharing with others her deep appreciation and connection with the wild

abundance surrounding us all.  She has been gratefully immersed in this work since 2003, and is a Registered Herbalist with Ontario Herbalists Association. You can learn more about Tamara’s work at www.hawthornherbals.com

Carrie Taylor

​

Carrie’s passion for yoga, in particular, guided meditation, brought her to the

study of hypnosis. Her relaxed energy and soothing voice leads one into a

deep state of inner calm tapping into inner wisdom where specific challenges

can be addressed.

Carrie is certified with the NGH as a Consulting Hypnotist and has been

helping people improve their lives with hypnosis since 2015. Carrie has been

practicing yoga for over 2 decades and is an RYT 200 yoga instructor leading

slow flow and Yin classes since 2012.

In both her yoga classes and hypnosis sessions, she encourages people to

connect with their inner messenger and learn how to nurture from within to make positive changes in their lives. Her love of healing comes from the profound personal transformations she has experienced over the years in her own life and enjoys sharing these tools with others.

 

 

Chef Chris Byrne

​

Chef Chris has been preparing inspired, gourmet plant-based meals for over

20 years.  He makes magic on a plate, expressing his art through bringing

delightful and complex flavours together to tantalize any palate with

comforting, nourishing goodness. He is trained in macrobiotic principles,

along with traditional and contemporary Japanese and Indian culinary

techniques as well as raw cuisine.  Along with running his own catering

company for many years, Chef Chris has lent his expertise in various

plant-based, gourmet kitchens, and healing centres, including spending time as

the executive chef at Grail Springs spa in Bancroft Ontario.  Through studying

and working with his partner, Tamara Segal, a Registered Herbalist, he has gained a passion for harvesting and preparing local wild foods.  You can view his beautiful culinary creations on Instagram @chefchris2112, or via his website www.chefchrisbyrne.com
